Who I am is possibility of inspiration, love, and courage. I am committed to make the difference in your life by helping you to know who you are and what you want.

Below is my story published in the book “You will overcome (52 Entrepreneurial Stories to Motivate & Guide You in any Economy)”

I think all of us have at some point made the observation that only one person will be topmost in the school, only one person will be best player in the sports team, only one person will be at the top of the organization ladder, only a small number of projects can be successful, and only a few people live the very kind of life they have dreamed of. What is the difference between me and them? Why not me, among those few successful people? What is stopping me?

Slogan for the month:
“When passion kicks in, nothing can stop you. Passion is such a fire, even if the seven oceans together come as a wave, cannot cease it. Find your passion prior to setting your goals.”

Paradigm Shift and Professional Growth

When I lost my job in 2004, I did not despair but took it as an
opportunity to shift myself into a higher level position as Program
Manager for complex projects portfolio across multiple regions. This
transition was challenging and scary at the same time. What is the
difference between a CEO and Engineer of an organization? All sincere
employees work hard. CEO is no different and has no supernatural
powers. The difference is in the way of thinking. A CEO thinks
big and what is the impact to the bottom line?

I used to think that certain people were born with special skills. Now I understood that success is a learnable skill. All I needed to do was choose who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do. This mindset put me on the path to pursue a Program Manger position at Ford Motor Company. The position helped me to grow as a person, manager, and leader. I have improved my communication and leadership skills. If I had not made the choice to pursue what I wanted to be due to circumstances or my past experience, I would never have been able to fulfill my desire. We all feel rather uncomfortable when we have just started learning and growing, but eventually, we will surely achieve greater satisfaction and ultimate success.

Learning Experiences

I came to the USA when I was 23 years old (in 1992), to complete
my Masters Degree in Computer Engineering. It was tough to
acclimatize to the USA culture and life style. One day, as I was feeling
hungry, I went to Burger King to get something to eat. I ordered my
food and sat down at a table where there were seven empty chairs and
only one person sitting! Suddenly that guy questioned me with anger,
‘Did you ask me’? I had no idea what he meant. What on earth
should I have asked him? I felt frustrated and suddenly realized that I
was intruding his privacy. On another day, I took a Detroit City bus
to go back to my efficiency apartment, which I was sharing with four
other students. I got on the bus, inserted a $20 bill and waited for the
change. Nothing happened. The bus driver said: ‘Why did you put
a 20-dollar bill? It is not going to give you any change! You lost that
money; all I can give you now is a ten-cent transfer ticket’.

It was then that I realized I really needed to learn so as not to feel
frustrated again. It is okay to ask questions and learn something new.
Be a learner; it is part of our existence. Have fun with the learning
experience. Things are just different here.

We feel vulnerable when we are put on spot for not knowing
something. It is no big deal; we just need to be enthusiastic to ask
questions and continue to improve ourselves in every area of our life.

Dream BigWeather

An MBA assignment in 2006 helped me to start dreaming big.
The assignment was to write about my vision, values, and mission
statement for my career and life. Most of us fear to dream big, because
we want to analyze everything and have a detailed plan to follow;
until every single detail has been devised, so we do not want to
dream. But the truth is whether you dream big or small, the effort is
the same. Why not dream big?

As soon as I started to dream big, my actions/habits changed. I
started reading about great leaders and successful people. I made up
my mind to invest in myself. It is vital to dedicate some budget and
time to invest in ourselves to continuously learn and grow. I have
taken empowerment and self-expression courses. I became a member
of Toastmasters club and soon a Vice President of Public Relations as
well. It is not a paid position; I have volunteered to put myself in the
spot to take actions at a higher level. I am confident that I shall land
my dream job and obtain an executive level position. I have explored
earning multiple streams of income as Network marketer, Affiliate
marketer, and a Real estate/stock investor.

Clarity Is Power

I have realized that clarity is power. Prioritizing tasks and activities
is vital. First, we have to be clear on what we want rather than go with
the flow. Do not just try to look good to survive.

Vision and Setting Goals

It is best practice to write down your vision and set goals for both
long and short term. My one-year goal is to increase traffic to my
website and generate 100 leads per day. My 3-year goal as a network
marketer is to earn 15k USD per month. Why not focus our attention
on what we want, rather than what is going around?

Commitment and Success

Every step of the process towards our goals should become a
habit. Once we cultivate a habit, it will not go away easily. If I am
attached to an end result only and I do not see the desired results
coming soon, within a few months, it will be very easy to give up on
my goals. Remember there is no shortcut to success.

Believe In Yourself And Just Do It For Experience

Any invention, any country’s infrastructure, any society culture,
everything started with a belief – that it can be achieved. Walt Disney
had a big dream, and he had the courage to pursue his dream. Believe
in yourself, enjoy the experience, and just keep doing what you
love to do. Respond to the situations from the space of who you are,
instead of reacting against them. Eventually, you can overcome all
obstacles, no matter how difficult they may be, and create the kind of
future that you desire and live a fulfilling life.
